UVCC was a great two year community college, UVSC was an outstanding four year state college, and we know (because of the past and present students, faculty, and staff) UVU will be the University that stands about the rest! We love the school and especially all the experiences we had while attending. Especially the fact we met each other while attending (1986) and began 20 years of romance. Thanks for letting us be a part of something special then and the continuation of something special now. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UVU WOLVERINES!

It is so wonderful that this institution has become what it is today, yet still is committed to success and service to the community. It is for the citizens of this valley and this state--open to all who desire an education, regardless of religious affiliation or advanced grades (something the other school in the valley does not offer). I am not originally from Utah, but I have come here and made it my home. I am from out of state and no university in that state has open enrollment. This was possibly my only opportunity to have received such an education. Thanks to all who made this all happen.

People would often ask me when I planned to graduate. It would take too long to explain that I was here for the education no matter how long it took and not just the degree. So I would say, "Oh, I'm planning on waiting until UVSC becomes UVU." In other words I was saying, "Who knows how much longer." I guess I'm going to have to give the longer explanation from now on. This is a very exciting event for our school. I feel proud.

I am currently attending UVSC, and I am a local resident of Utah Valley for the whole of my life. The buzz that this has created has been incredible. From Church, to my job, to my neighbors, ... I am hearing how excited this valley is as a whole for the new UVU. I attend both BYU and UVSC, and I have to say that I have had more difficulty in passing my upper division classes at UVSC. I am quite thrilled, and overjoyed to learn, that UVSC Can now be known for what it really is. I have been a student there, for a year now; and I want you to know, that my experiences there have been quite memorable. every teacher that I have had so far, has been quite unique when it comes to teaching. They ALL have made learning allot of fun even though at times learning can be difficult. I have had a learning disability, and they have been very helpful & understanding, as well as compassionate. I'll tell you; that I have never had a better experience, in any school. When I first started; I recieved letter after letter from various departments, asking me how they could assist me in making my edjucational experience more meaningful, and successful. I even recieved likewise from honorable President Sederberg himself. What a great man he is. I honestly, and sincerely believe, that UVSC is one of Heavenly Father's chosen schools. It was my first choices. And I actually felt inspired to go there! So The University Status is Well deserved; and I am Honored, to show my support to this school. Wow, what can you say about a school that goes from being a "Tech School" to a full University. It no longer is just a stepping stone for BYU or Utah.
