Ronnie Price

Not only did former UVSC basketball stand-out Ronnie Price make it into the NBA, he made it the hard way, as an undrafted free-agent who now plays for the Sacramento Kings.

Price, now well into his first year, shares the exclusive title of rookie with only 32 other men. Overall, Price is ranked first among rookies in free throw percentage, 100 percent, going eight for eight from the line. In this, his rookie season, Price has played 12 of 29 games, including 18 minutes against the Dallas Mavericks, in which he scored his season high of 11 points. For now, Price is zeroing in on the defensive skills, which should keep him plenty busy battling the likes of point guards Steve Nash of the Phoenix Suns, Jason Kidd of the New Jersey Nets and Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs.
