UVSC’s Center for Advancement of Leadership (CAL) will host Franz Kolb for the MasterMind Meeting March 3 at 4 p.m. in SC 206. Kolb is currently serving as regional director for international trade and diplomacy in the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
“He will focus on the nature of international competition and trade, showcasing the need for students to be ready for the growth in competition,” said Bruce Jackson, director for the Center for Advancement of Leadership. “Given the growing trade gap and outsourcing of American jobs, our students need to understand what it means to compete in a global society.”
CAL provides opportunities for students to gain leadership skills and offers a multi-dimensional approach for the development of leaders in both academic and professional arenas. By providing a world-class educational experience focusing on the whole person, CAL develops leaders from the inside out.
“Students need to understand what they need to do to succeed in a global economy,” said Jackson. “The U.S. cannot produce students that are unprepared for the kind of competition that awaits us.”
Kolb will share his insights and strategies to help students in their future leadership positions. This event is free and open to the public.
