Tuesday, January 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., UVSC is holding an anti-semitism seminar. The seminar is being lead by Rabbi Hier, who is from the Wiesenthel Center is Los Angeles, Calif. The Wiesenthel Center is one of the nation’s most informative tolerance museums.
Hier will be showing his documentary, "Ever Again" and at the end of the session will be opening up the floor for questions and discussion.
"Ever Again" examines the rebirth of European anti-semitism as it exposes the dangerous Islamic radicalism and culture of death being preached from the mosques of Europe’s major cities. It examines shifts from the traditional anti-semitism of the right to the anti-semitism of the extreme left.
"Hier has never been to Utah and decided it was appropriate to come to Utah and UVSC to present his documentary in an effort to promote tolerance," said Kathren Brown, associate professor of history and political science. "This event should be very informative and interesting, all are welcome to attend."
The event will be held at UVSC’s Orem Campus in CS 404 and is free and open to the public.
