Back by popular demand following a sold-out benefit concert in September, Jon Schmidt is returning for another performance at UVSC. UVSC’s Envision Winter Guard Club presents “An Evening with Jon Schmidt” Monday, January 28 at 7 p.m. in the Ragan Theater.
“We are so excited to have Jon back for UVSC Envision Winter Guard,” says Nancy Cannon, advisor and instructor for Envision. “He is amazing and the Envision team members and students are huge fans of his.”
It appears that they are not the only ones. More than 200 patrons had to be turned away from the original performance in September, which prompted this concert to be organized. Schmidt’s dynamic performance style and original music are widely popular, as evidenced by the success of his seven albums, seven volumes of piano scores and highly rated television special
Funds from the concert will be used to assist Envision in their traveling costs as they compete in the Winter Guard International World Championships in Dayton, Ohio in April.
