Law school admission deans from around the country are coming to Utah Valley State for a special event hosted by the Pre-Law club on Thursday, March 6 from 6-8 p.m. in SC 206a. The deans will be answering questions and discussing issues and concerns common to undergraduates contemplating attending law school.
Universities like the University of Utah, George Washington University, Denver University, Gonzaga University, Seattle University, University of Wyoming, BYU and UNLV will be represented and in attendance.
“The schools decided to come because of the high caliber students they have seen come from UVSC,” said Tom Merrill, student coordinator of student programs at UVSC.
There will be a mock panel discussion of the deans going over real review admissions from 6-7 p.m. and there will also be a speed recruiter event. The speed recruiting event, similar to speed dating, will take place between 7 to 8 p.m. The students will interview with the law deans, rotating every seven minutes.
The event is free and open to anyone interested in attending law school.
