Every Thursday this fall semester, UVSC has been offering a Technology Lecture Series for students and the general public.
Now approaching its fifth week, the next scheduled speaker is David Wright. Wright is manager of the enterprise information management of the LDS Church. He will be speaking Thursday, September 20 in CS404 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Wright, from Salt Lake City, is an alumnus of BYU and is responsible for managing data governance and data quality programs. He is also in charge of managing all church databases and data and facilitating information delivery via data warehousing, reporting and dashboards.
“Wright made an excellent candidate to be a speaker due to being a great example all around for our IT students,” said David Johnson, department chair of the Technology Management Department. “It’s good for them to hear about the latest use of technology in organizations and what options they have with their degree. This event should be very interesting for students, the general public and anyone else interested as well.”
