UVSC to Hold Annual President's Scholarship Ball

UVSC’s President’s Scholarship Ball will be held Friday, October 19 at the McKay Events Center. The theme of this year’s ball will be “A Season of Change.” Festivities will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. and will continue with a dinner at 7 p.m. Dancing will follow.

The President’s Scholarship Ball is an annual tradition at UVSC and will be hosted by UVSC President William Sederburg. Former member of the Utah House of Representatives Jeff Alexander and his wife, Anne, owners of Alexander’s Print Advantage, will be acting as co-chairs of this year’s event. Proceeds from the President’s Scholarship Ball go to funding the President’s Scholarship, which currently benefits 35 selected UVSC students.

Entertainment will be provided by a number of UVSC groups, including the symphony orchestra, ballroom dance team, a string quartet, and UVSC’s jazz ensemble, and an excellent seven-course meal will be provided by UVSC’s new team of chefs. The event is black-tie optional. Valet parking is free to guests of the event.

Tickets to this year’s President’s Scholarship Ball are priced at $150, and are currently sold out. Those interested in adding their name to the waiting list should contact Claire Jardine at (801) 863-8206.
