First Annual Winter Ball at UVSC
The Utah Valley State College Honors program will sponsor the first annual Winter Ball, a formal/semi-formal event with a dinner and a dance for UVSC students, faculty and staff Thursday November 30 at 7 p.m. in the Sorensen Center Grande Ballroom. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. followed by a dance at 9 p.m. All proceeds from the ball will go towards the Ira and Mary Lou Fulton Challenge.
“It will be a wonderful, festive way to start the holiday season,” said Joy Ross, director of the honors program at UVSC. “We hope this becomes a tradition at UVSC for years to come.”

Ira and Mary Lou Fulton, part-time residents of Utah Valley and well-known philanthropists, issued the Fulton Challenge to UVSC faculty, staff and alumni of UVSC in May, inviting individual schools and programs at UVSC to set and accomplish a fund-raising goal by the end of 2006 with the incentive that the Fultons will match the amount of every goal met, up to $1,000 per person.
