UVSC to Host Humanities and Technology Association National Conference
Utah Valley State College departments of technology management, philosophy and religion and the Center for the Study of Ethics will host for the first time the Humanities and Technology Association (HTA) national conference.
HTA is one of the few international associations that focus on the important intersection between the future of human life and 21st century technology.
The HTA conference will be at the Snowbird Resort October 6-8. Several UVSC faculty members will present scholarly papers at the conference and one of UVSC’s distinguished professors, Dr. Elaine Englehardt, will be the keynote speaker at the conference.
“UVSC places strong emphases on interdisciplinary study,” said Conference Coordinator and UVSC Professor Wayne Hanewicz, “This conference will explore the issues and connections between the humanities and technology, especially those issues that have to do with the future of humanity and human culture.”
