Lieutenant Governor Gary Herbert to address UVSC Students and Community
As part of his 2005 college tour for civics engagement, Lieutenant Governor Gary Herbert will be speaking Monday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. in the UVSC Centre Stage in the Sorenson Center
Lt. Governor Herbert will travel to colleges and universities around the state of Utah to encourage greater civic participation among young adults. The college tour is part of the college council’s civics awareness week, which will also include voter registration drives and activities to promote civic discussions on campuses. After his speech, Lt. Governor Herbert will have a question & answer session.
“This speech and Q&A session is extremely beneficial to students and community members since local elections are coming up,” said Leland Page, ASUVSC Chief Justice, “Lt. Governor Herbert wants community members and students to know how important their voices are.”
