UVSC to Host High School Students and Parents at Science UV You Day
The School of Science and Health at Utah Valley State College will host high school juniors and seniors and their parents December 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Centre Stage of the Sorensen Center.
The Science UV You day is for potential students who are interested in the School of Science and Health including subjects like biology, dental hygiene, mathematics and community health. Students and parents will have breakfast then attend a general session regarding admissions, financial aid and other important information about the School of Science and Health as well as careers in these fields.
UVSC President William A. Sederburg, the dean of the school, alumni and current students will address participants about their own experience at UVSC. Lunch will also be served and students and parents will be given a tour of UVSC.
“The UV You Day for Science and Health is important to potential students interested in this area because it is the only time and place they can get all of their questions answered by experts in those specific departments,” said Michael Snapp, director of Enrollment Marketing and UV You Days. “This kind of information is critical to students as they decide on the major they want to pursue.”
