Estonian Representative to Speak at UVSC

Dr. Igor Grazin, Estonia's legal counsel to the European Union and former member of the Supreme Soviet of the U.S.S.R., will speak at a lecture called "2010: The Dissolution of the European Union?" on Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. in the Utah Valley State College Library LC243.

"Dr. Grazin is more than qualified to speak on this subject and will bring a unique perspective to Utah," said Rusty Butler, UVSC associate vice president of international affairs.

Grazin is currently the dean of the law school at Academy Nord in Estonia and was the chief legal counsel to the president of Estonia. He also has Ph.D.s in philosophy, law and legal sciences.

Grazin was a member of the Supreme Soviet at the time of the U.S.S.R. dissolution. With his experience, Grazin will speak on his educated insights and predictions of a European Union dissolution.

Grazin's visit to Utah is sponsored by the UVSC Butler Institute for International Understanding and the UVSC Center for the Study of Ethics.
