Four New Trustees Appointed by Governor for UVSC

Governor Jon Huntsman Jr. selected four new trustees to fill the vacancies of outgoing Board members whose term on the Utah Valley State College Board of Trustees has expired. The new members have all accepted the positions and will be ratified by the senate next week.

New members are Timothy R. Clark of Alpine, current president and CEO of Novations SDC; Karen Acerson of Lindon, author of five Word Perfect books and member of the UVSC Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Advisory Board; Doyle M. Mortimer of Orem, vice president of operations at Alexander’s Print Advantage and former member of the Utah House of Representatives, District 59; and Carolyn H. Merril of Orem, who is the principal at American Fork High School.

Leaving members are John H. Zenger, Johnathan Coon, Melanie Bastian and David Bradford. Zenger was the former chair of the Board of Trustees. The Board will vote for a new chair at a meeting August 11.
