UVSC to Offer Classes at New Location
To accommodate students at Parkway Crossing, Village on the Parkway and complexes opposite of Utah Valley State College on I-15, the UVSC School of Continuing Education will offer 13 daytime general education courses beginning this fall at UVSC West, which is located at the national guard building (987 South Geneva Road).
The School of Continuing Education surveyed residents of Parkway Crossing this spring to determine if students would attend classes at UVSC West and what classes they would take. The classes will be offered via Distance Education Interactive Video.
“We’re marketing the classes at UVSC West to residents of Parkway Crossing and Village on the Parkway since the building is close enough that they can walk,” said Ruth Gowans, Evening School off-campus sites coordinator for the School of Continuing Education.
UVSC West is one of five off-campus locations where UVSC classes are offered. Classes are also available at the North Valley Education Center at Lehi High School, Spanish Fork Education Center at Spanish Fork High School, University Mall Education Center in the University Mall in Orem and the Wasatch Campus in Heber Valley.
