UVSC Announces Internship and Career Fair
The Utah Valley State College Career Services and Student Employment will host its Fall 2005 Internship and Career Fair, Tuesday, September 27, 2005 in the Student Center Grande Ballroom. More than 67 organizations, including KUTV CBS News and the Brigham Young University Romney Institute of Public Management, will be in the Ballroom from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., giving students the opportunity to network and explore career options.
“A lot of great companies are going to be there,” said Marsha Haynes, counselor/manager of Career Services & Student Employment. “You can expect everyone from Walt Disney and Dell Computers to the FBI and the IRS.”
“We anticipate a good turnout from employers and we encourage students to start their career planning now,” said Keith Lue, project manager for the Career Fair. “Several employers will be looking to hire qualified individuals right away.”
Students are encouraged to plan for the event by researching the companies that will be in attendance and preparing thoughtful questions. Career Services also advises students to dress professionally to make a good first impression with potential employers. Wells Fargo Financial Services will co-sponsor a Career Fair Prep Workshop, Wednesday, Sept. 21 to assist students in their preparation for the Career Fair.
