UVSC Faculty and Staff Donations make Significant Contribution
In one year, the faculty and staff at Utah Valley State College donated a total of $116,362 to the College. The UVSC annual faculty and staff campaign is an opportunity for faculty and staff members to give back to UVSC through monetary donations. During the month of September, 328 faculty and staff members donated to the campaign through one-time donations, or by payroll deductions.
Among the contributors, 101 were new donors. Another 165 donations were received unrelated to the official campaign. The faculty or staff donor is given the option to choose where the money is to go and to what cause it is to benefit.
“Employees know where funds are needed,” said Cristina Pianezzola, Director of Annual Giving. “In the end, the students benefit the most from these donations.”
Athletics, Career & Academic Counseling, Institutional Advancement and International Understanding were departments that had 100% of their full-time faculty and staff donate to the campaign. To celebrate their support, President Sederburg will be having lunch with all of the winning departments.
“UVSC employees have shown true dedication to the College through this campaign,” said UVSC President William A. Sederburg. “Students and departments on campus will benefit greatly as a result of their generosity.”
