UVSC Command Spanish® Class Approved by American Board of Opticianry
OREM, Utah— The UVSC Command Spanish® class for Eye Care Providers has been approved by the American Board of Opticianry for continuing education credit. UVSC is the only Licensed Official Registered Provider in Utah of Command Spanish®, Inc., the nation’s leading provider of customized Spanish language programs.
The Command Spanish® for Eye Care Providers prepares non-Spanish-speaking optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians and their staff to provide eye care to Spanish-speaking patients. Emphasis is placed on patient registration, conducting eye exams, diagnosing and treating patients, and assisting in selecting glasses or contact lenses. No prior knowledge of Spanish is necessary.
The American Board of Opticianry has approved this course for 2 hours, General Knowledge, Level 1 continuing education credit. The instructor, Sonia R. Ochoa, has been approved as an ABO speaker. This course and instructor are also approved for 2 hours of continuing education by the National Contact Lens Examiners.
The class includes a 90-page manual, practice CDs and a laminated Power Spanish® Appointment Card designed for this course. Continuing Education Units and Certificates of Completion will be awarded at the end of the course.
