What You Need to Listen to a Podcast

The basic requirements for podcasting are a computer and podcasting software. Recommended software includes one of the following:
iTunes PC and Mac (Free)
iPodder PC (Free)
iPodderX Mac (Not free)

How to add the podcast to iTunes?

Open iTunes. Then click on "advanced" and choose "subscribe to podcast" like this:

Next, put in this podcast link http://resource.uvsc.edu/podcast/podcast.xml like this:

Note: You can right click on the link above and choose "Copy Link Location" to copy the link. Then when you get to the screen below you can hit Ctrl-V to paste the link

Hit OK. You should now see the UVSC Podcast listed:

To choose a segment to listen to, follow the instructions below.

1. Open iTunes.
2. Click on Podcasts in the left-hand column. This should display all Podcasts you are currently subscribed to.
3. Click on the small blue arrow in front of "UVSC Podcast ". This should display all the available segments.
4. To download an individual segment, click on “GET”.

Other MP3 players such as iPodder and iPodderX
For other MP3 players, copy the "Standard podcast" link below. Then refer to your player's Help documentation to learn how to add a podcast link.
